Overall Feedback:
I contracted Think Design,, owned by Ray Shah, to code an app for my business. The agreement was made based on a recommendation from a sales representative at a third-party company, who is no longer with them. We signed a contract in which Think Design NYC committed to completing the app within six weeks.
The project dragged on far beyond the initial six weeks. Despite continuous promises of completion and weekly reassurances that the project was \"almost done,\" it took an entire year without any tangible results. When they did deliver work, it was always incomplete and riddled with mistakes. Trusting that they\'d eventually get it right, I kept paying them anyway, while directly confronting them about the errors that were piling up. Ultimately, Think Design NYC backed out of the project, leaving me without the finished app and with a significant financial loss.
This experience has not only resulted in a considerable financial setback but also a loss of valuable time. The continuous delays and unfulfilled promises have hindered my business growth and innovation.
I share this experience to caution others considering engaging Think Design NYC for their development needs. The promises made were not kept, the timelines were not honored, and the agreed-upon contract was not fulfilled. It\'s disheartening to see a company act in such an unprofessional manner, especially when significant resources and trust were invested.
At this point, the resolution I seek is a full refund from Think Design NYC, as stipulated in our contract. I feel it is my responsibility to share this experience to ensure others are aware of the potential risks of working with this company. Engaging with Think Design NYC has been a lesson in frustration and disappointment, and I hope my experience serves as a warning to others considering their services.
Any areas they could improve?
Commit to completing work on time and on budget. Actually learn how to code and do not make promises you can’t keep.
