The Ohlmann Group has a rich history that began in Dayton, Ohio in 1949, where the agency was founded as Penny and Penny by Bob Penny and his wife Jean. In 1964, Walter Ohlmann joined the firm, which was then renamed Penny/Ohlmann. Soon the agency was adding services and hiring additional staff to meet the changing needs of its growing roster of clients. In 1969, Ralph Neiman joined the company, which became Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman, Inc. Ralph’s staff became P/O/N’s first in-house art directors. Over the years, Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman continued to add services – evolving over time to provide clients with the right mix of big ideas, bold strategies, creative deliverables, and managed marketing services. In 2011, Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman changed its name to become The Ohlmann Group. This change reflects the ongoing evolution of the organization. Today, The Ohlmann Group provides innovative marketing solutions that deliver exceptional results. We craft compelling messages, combine digital and traditional media channels, and carefully measure the results of our work to develop marketing with meaning. We use our expertise in creative design, media planning, web development, social media, search marketing, public relations, and marketing strategy to our clients create the future.
