East West Property Development (Pvt) Limited (EWPD) is the flagship company of the Bashundhara Group, which was founded in 1987 with the aim of meeting the ever-increasing housing demands in Dhaka. Bashundhara Housing is the brand name of Bashundhara Real Estate projects. It has seen growth over the years as a result of its distinct industrial approach focused on touching and improving all aspects of life. Later, for its immense success, EWPD was rebranded as Bashundhara Housing (a sister concern of Bashundhara Group). Bashundhara Housing is a high-end housing company noted for its industry professionalism and for being one of Bangladesh's real estate pioneers. It has successfully developed several integrated townships with residential projects and all the basic infrastructure, adjacent to the capital city, under the brand name of Bashundhara Housing. The success story of Bashundhara Housing started with their very first and most important land project, named "Bashundhara Baridhara Land Project," which is a unique project in the real estate sector. It is the country’s first well-planned housing project that has been approved by Rajuk, a member of REHAB and BLDA in the private sector. "Live within the green" is the uniqueness of this project. It means calmness within the green, which is not just a slogan but an oath to provide the best lifestyle for the residents. They make sure that the residents living in the area have proper access to the amenities they need to have a secure and trouble-free life. By considering all the appropriate measurements, Bashundhara Housing has also designed a few other land projects. The second project is known as the "Savar Project," which is being constructed in Savar's northern suburbs. The third project is called the "Riverview Project," which consists of three thousand acres of land in Hasnabad, Keranigonj, designed to provide well-planned housing facilities, particularly for residents of old Dhaka. The fourth project, "Mouchak Project," is located near the scouts of Jamboree in Gazipur. The fifth project, "River View Dokhina Project," is located near the Riverview Project in South Keranigonj, about 4 kilometers from the Dhaka Mawa Highway. Lastly, "River View Green Town Project," was built alongside the Dhaka Mawa Highway, near the Riverview Land Project and on the other side of the government's Jhillmill Project. Apart from the land projects, Bashundhara Housing also designed some satellite projects for professional bodies like BCS Administration Housing Society, Police Officer’s Housing Society, and Judicial Officer’s Housing Project. Bashundhara organizes projects as per their requirements. However, there will be some lucrative upcoming land projects beside Purbachal sector 21, and another project will be beside the Shitolakha River, on the East side of Kanchan Bridge.
